Don't you think it is time for Montgomery to have wheeled, covered trash carts?

Wow, September 7th, another windy day and the tall round garbage cans all strewn about the street. Cars and school buses dodging them. I did a test just to see if they were in the street because the garbage truck operators might have carelessly tossed them down. So, I stood two up very carefully upside down and well into the parkway. In less than 5 minutes they were blown back into the street again. So, its just simply the wrong design of container for Montgomery and "the windy city."

Effective January 1, 2011, the monthly rate for garbage pickup will increase to $15.50. The cost of stickers will also increase from $2.25 to $2.50. The color of the new stickers will be teal. There will be a grace period from January 1st through January 15th for using old stickers. If you would like to exchange your old stickers for new ones, mail them to Allied Waste of Aurora, 1565 Aurora Avenue Lane, Aurora, IL 60505 with a check for the difference in the amount and a self-addressed envelope. This exchange program will run through the month of January.
