National Night Out Against Crime and Drug Abuse is a national event designed to heighten community awareness of Neighborhood Watch and other Community Oriented Policing activities. The event also seeks to recognize and express appreciation for the work of police, fire, EMT and other first responders in preserving and protecting communities and neighborhoods. I believe in the concept of Community Oriented Policing and will work to bring more of this program to the service of Montgomery.
