Have You Considered Adopting a Highway?
Have You Considered Adopting a Highway?
Route 30 on the Montgomery's west side has some friends, and your help is always welcome. As our community grows, so too grows our impact on the environment including unsightly and potentially harmful litter. You can adopt a highway, or join to assist those who already have. It's good low-impact exercise, healthful fresh air, and a way to meet good neighbors you'll be glad you got to know. Skeptical? Contact Me to try just one time and see for yourself. We'll begin around Earth Day in the spring. Community service organizations and individuals seeking community service hours are very welcome and greatly needed.
Update: 30 jumbo bags of litter were collected along Route 30 on April 17th, plus one discarded television set! Thank you to the following volunteers:

Rene Morales, Nona Brzostek, Stan Bond, Marion Bond, Ed Fowler, Dan Gier (taking photo), Sarah and Mike Chrzaszcz.
