For over a year, a few residents of Montgomery on Mayfield Drive have worked with Stan Bond to bring the issue of resident safety in front of the Village Board. Stan worked tiredlessly in helping us go through the process and guide us along the way. The Village Trustees have chosen not to address any of the residents' concerns, but Stan stood by us all the way. The residents of Montgomery would be listened to, heard and supported if Stan Bond is elected.

I had the privilege of covering Montgomery Village Hall for WSPY Radio (107.1 FM) over the summer of 2010. Stan was often the only resident in the gallery. I could always count on Stan to help me understand residents' perspectives, and he always had a firm grasp of the complexities behind the issues. Montgomery would be well served having a man like Stan represent them.

Stan Bond has experience in city government including his staff positions with the City of Carbondale and with the Wabash Area Office of Economic Opportunity. He was elected to the Batavia Library Board of Trustees where he worked with other trustees as Batavia built a new library. He is a team builder who successfully empowers the people around him and he has a deep commitment to the residents of Montgomery.

Mr. Bond is one of a kind. He genuinely cares about our community and since we have lived here he has kept the community up on all the current affairs. As long time residents of the area and now recent residents of the far west side of Montgomery, we are writing to endorse Stan Bond for village trustee. When we moved to the west side in 2008, Stan was among the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. He made us feel welcome and part of the community right away. He has kept us informed about important governmental, park district and tax issues, and he has sponsored neighborhood activities to which we were invited and welcomed. Stan is a community builder. He cares about neighborhoods, families and Montgomery.

Stan Bond has my vote for Montgomery village trustee because I have seen him respond thoroughly and quickly when we and many of our neighbors were shocked to see our real estate tax bills go up at a time when we know our housing values have plummeted. I will be voting for Stan Bond on April 8 and urge you to support him as well.
